Note: Must have poultry passport to level 3 Manager, and must have run farms of broilers and be able to prove E.P.E.F. Results and F.C.R result with a checkable work history

For a full time experienced Farm Manager to work at

One of our farms based near Spilsby Lincolnshire

The Farm Manager, for our Broiler Farms will manage the farm houses of up to 59,000 Broiler Chickens, per split allocation of birds, in Various sheds on our farm. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the on- site clearing catch management which currently has a capacity to clear 344,000, bird’s over a few days

The Farm Manager, will be accountable for the day to day management of the whole site including:

  • full responsibility for production targets, as well as controlling Ordering and monitoring feed consumption and Water levels
  • recording flock performance on Daily Crop charts
  • maintaining high standards of Bio Security flock and site cleaning & management in order to ensure the comfort and welfare of the birds to ensure the farm complex’s ‘Audit Readiness’ is maintained at all times
  • cost control and budgeting and stop loss on waste and spills
  • management and training of the farm team to cover 365 days a year working
  • full responsibility for health and safety, including risk assessments, COSHH, work instructions and all other management standards.

Manager must be confident, reliable, and computer literate, have extensive experience working with poultry and be able to work on their-own initiative. Previous experience of managing a Broiler rearing farm and must hold a poultry passport level 3 manager certificate as it is essential for this high profile farm role, Experience and knowledge of health and safety in the workplace would be a significant advantage.

The Farm Manager will be required on occasion, to drive site to site, in order to fulfil the role, & from time to time the company reserves the right to carry out internal inspections of the farm property for maintenance purposes & general cleanliness standards checks to ensure the property remains in the good condition as per environmental conditions.

a) This is a permanent position, working an average of 00.00 hours per week (TBA) Manager’s must have a flexible approach to days worked/days off and overtime hours worked especially at points of chick up and staff holidays

b) Pay scale and wages (TBC) on Negotiation after successful interview & Commencement of Employment.

5. Responsible for staff/equipment

  • Management and training of the farm team to cover 365 days a year working
  • full responsibility for health and safety, including risk assessments, COSHH, work instructions and all other management standards.

And maintaining, cleanliness of, all machinery & Equipment reporting faults.
