Job description
Hales Group are currently seeking Poultry Catchers to join our client based in Norwich. As part of the Poultry Catcher team, you will be travelling to various poultry farms across the UK daily and your main job will be catching live birds and loading them safely.
Our client provides pick up and drop off from various locations in the Norfolk area.
Main duties;
- Assisting with the selection and catching of birds
- Catching and restraining birds in compliance with welfare rules
- Ensuring that birds are loaded properly into module drawers
- Always complying with high standard of animal welfare regulation
- Accurate record keeping
- Ensuring high standards of hygiene at all times
In order to be considered for this role;
- Be prepared to work within farm and hatchery environment, which could be dark and smelly.
- Always prioritize the welfare and safety of the birds
- Flexible with hours of work
- Ability to follow training and supervisors instructions
HOURS: Sunday to Thursday, approx. start 2.00pm until 3.00am (hours vary each shift, travel time is paid)
LOCATION: Travel to various sites from the Norwich area
PAY RATE: £10.45 per hour, all travel hours paid. Attendance bonus payable at £10 per working day if all shifts completed within the working week.
TERM: Temporary to Permanent after completion of 12 weeks.
