The role
The Postgraduate Research (PGR) Team, part of the Research Support Team in the Faculty of Wellbeing, Education and Language Studies (WELS), is responsible for the effective and efficient development and delivery of the postgraduate research provision in the Faculty. This encompasses the PhD programme and two Professional Doctorates: the Doctorate in Education and the Doctorate in Health and Social Care.
You will be responsible for managing the full range of PGR support activities in the Faculty, working closely with the academic leads and central units. You will be the primary point of contact on all operational issues relating to the management of post-graduate research students
Skills and experience
- Do you have experience of providing excellent customer service, including sensitive handling of difficult issues?
- Do you have strong experience of delivering complex administrative processes?
- Are you comfortable taking ownership of and resolving complex problems?
- Do you have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence a range of internal and external stakeholders?
