Key Information

Salary: Dependent on relevant Postdoctoral experience. Future progression is based on annual performance review. If the candidate has not yet been awarded their PhD, the starting salary will be at £34,344 until the successful completion of their viva.

Job Details

Under the leadership of Professor Kristian Helin, we are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Training Fellow to join our Epigenetics and Cancer Team led by Kristian Helin to develop and use pre-clinical models for leukaemia, and to identify and validate new targets for anti-cancer therapy.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate must have a PhD in Life Sciences (Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology) and proved experience of working in haematology.

The ICR has a workforce agreement stating that Postdoctoral Training Fellows can only be employed for up to 7 years as PDTF at the ICR, providing total postdoctoral experience (including previous employment at this level elsewhere) does not exceed 10 years


Department/Directorate Information:

The Epigenetics and Cancer team, directed by Professor Kristian Helin, studies the role of chromatin-associated proteins (epigenetics) in the regulation of transcription, cell fate decisions and in cancer. The team is also using functional genetic screens to identify potential novel targets for the development of anti-cancer therapy.
