And now we want you to join our lifesaving team. We are looking for a new Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join our Immunotherapy group. The immunotherapy group combines expertise in stem cell biology and cellular immunology and works in close relationship with the cord blood program. The successful candidate will be expected to work on a variety of translational research projects in areas of cell therapy and immunotherapy which directly improve the outcomes for patients undergoing stem cell transplantation.
Title: Postdoctoral Research Scientist
Salary: £34,386 - £44,799 per annum
Contract: 3 years fixed term, full-time
Hours: 35 per week (standard Anthony Nolan working hours)
Location: University of York for first 12-18 months, then the Anthony Nolan Research Institute in Hampstead, NW London
The applicant must have a PhD in immunology, cell biology or related discipline and have demonstrable experience of bioinformatics especially expression data analysis (RNAseq, Nanostrings). Record of published research and relevant experience in obtaining grant funding is desirable.
The successful applicant will also be expected to be actively involved in supervising and training undergraduate, MSc and PhD students, as required, as well as clinical fellows and graduate trainees within the department.
The post will be initially based at The University of York while training is carried out, and then at the Anthony Nolan Research Institute on Fleet Road in London (Royal Free campus) and is a fixed term contract of 3 years.
