Job description
We are looking for a part time Post Office Counter Clerk (2- 4 shifts per week) for our instore post office counter in our new Kenny's Foodfare, Kilrea
Key Duties include:
- To communicate with customers in a polite and professional manner to ensure they have a pleasant experience
- Listen to customer queries/requests and process in a timely manner
- Handle all cash and money transactions in an accurate and confidential way
- Carry out a range of Post Office services including
- - processing letters and parcels;
- - pension and benefits transactions;
- - banking, MoneyGram and bill payments
- - car tax and DVLA forms
- - travel insurance and foreign currency
- Maintain an accurate stock and cash balance at the end of each shift
- Work as part of a team to provide an efficient Post Office service
Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
- A high degree of accuracy in their work
- The ability to work under pressure in a busy customer service environment
- Previous experience in handling cash /financial transactions
- Excellent customer service and ability to go the extra mile for our customers
- Honesty and integrity
Previous post office/financial or banking experience is desirable, but not essential as full training will be given
Hours
- 2 to 4 shifts per week on a rota basis
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16 - 30 per week
