Job description
We are looking for a Counter Assistant to join our friendly team at High Lane, who will enjoy helping customers in our community. Previous experience working in a Post Office environment would be preferred but we would be willing to train the right applicant.
This position will be 25 hours per week; Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 9am to 5.30pm (with an hours for lunch) and 3 in 4 Saturdays, 9am to 12.30pm.
We are looking for an individual that prides themselves on a high level of customer service. The successful applicant will need to be flexible to cover holidays & sickness when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Dealing with all Banking/ Financial Services
- Royal Mail and Parcelforce services
- Selling Foreign currency and Travel Insurance
- Daily reports and Cash Declarations
The ideal candidate will:
- Be presentable and have a professional approach
- Have a courteous telephone manner
- Have experience of working with customers, both face to face and by telephone.
- Have previous retail experience
