Job Description
To accelerate SLB’s growth in the Energy Transition technology space, we are seeking a driven and creative scientist to join our research programme on Energy Storage. Passion for science, teamwork and the desire to succeed are the core of our programme. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team and take part in the development of mathematical models to describe, understand and optimize electrochemical energy storage devices.

Responsibilities
- Apply scientific approaches and innovative solutions to the development of mathematical models of electrochemical energy storage devices
- Using commercial simulation packages, developing mathematical models and interpreting results
- Be up-to-date with the electrochemical energy devices scientific literature and technology developments
- Effectively communicate ideas, concepts and results to the team and stakeholders
- Engage and collaborate with SLB technical community
- Publish scientific papers, write patents applications and attend conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Material Science or related field
- Experience with modelling of at least one type of electrochemical energy device (e.g.: batteries, fuel cells or electrolyzers)
- Experience with multiphysics modelling packages such as Ansys or COMSOL Multiphysics is desirable
- Knowledge and/or experience on computational chemistry is a plus
