Job description

Doing amazing things together

Are you looking for a career that makes a difference? Are you motivated and caring with a desire to make a positive difference to the lives of others? Then look no further, Affinity Trust has the job for you!

We are recruiting for people who are highly motivated to work in a demanding and rewarding environment. You will play an integral part of our Transforming Care Programme. The Programme has Positive Behaviour Support at its core, where we support people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and challenging behaviours to move from long-term hospital stay/residential settings to live more independently.

The development in Sheffield is built to support 8 adults with learning disabilities, complex mental health needs and challenging behaviours.

Although this can be a demanding and challenging environment to work in, it is an exciting opportunity to make huge, positive changes to these people’s lives, and be rewarded by seeing them flourish in their homes.

This really is a unique career opportunity for people who have the passion and commitment to develop their skills and make a lasting positive contribution to the lives of others. You don’t need any qualifications as a full induction plus professional training will be provided, including Positive Behaviour Support training, although previous experience of working within this environment is advantageous.

The most important thing is a caring and resilient attitude, and the ability to use positive, calm and clear communication to enhance the day-to-day lives of the people we support.

We will pay you a £400 Welcome Bonus.

Affinity Trust is a charity organisation supporting people with learning disabilities to live in their own home and be part of the community.
