The Global Currency team is responsible for managing active FX overlays for both internal GFICC portfolios and external clients ,and plays a large part in driving the macro view across the broader GFICC team. The team has a long and proven track record in managing active FX..
Role Summary
You will initially be responsible for generating alpha in G10 FX, working with the head of FX but with a reasonable degree of discretion to take risk. You will also be expected to drive the G10 FX research process and present the view internally and externally.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver excess returns within the opportunity set exercising strong risk management skills- Provide fundamental research and analysis within G10 FX
- Work with the broader GFICC platform to communicate the Global Currency team's view, and to incorporate insights from other sector teams into the FX view
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Strong 7-year+ track record as an FX-dedicated portfolio manager, taking active risk or as an FX strategist
- Methodical, process-driven approach to investment
- Strong communication skills, being able to explain core views and positions to non-FX specialists
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Attention to detail while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- An ability to code is an advantage and being able to build and maintain back tests to support investment thesis
- Self-starter with the ability to think creatively and laterally. Ability to navigate a complex internal infrastructure that involves numerous groups and individuals to get things done.
