About the role
It's an exciting time to join the Transversal Change and Delivery team here at AXA, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes. To help us build our change capability, accelerate the delivery of our strategic programmes and drive the adoption of unified Agile ways of working and more effective change delivery across UK&I we're looking for an individual with experience of managing large programme delivery projects within a business environment.
The role reports into the Head of Delivery and will drive the delivery of complex IT infrastructure, application, and Business Change Programmes across the UK, whilst supporting with the day-to-day management of the wider delivery team.

You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for large programme delivery of portfolios or projects, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget and to scope
- Applies the appropriate project management discipline across the various stages of the project cycle and is a champion of these at each stage
- Matrix management with oversight of permanent and contractual staff
- Coaches and mentors' other members of the team to aid their development
- Sets and manages the quality of deliverables for projects ensuring that standards are applied as defined in UK Project Policy
- Reports and presents on programme/portfolio status to all key stakeholders
- Ensures key stakeholders are engaged and their feedback is sought and acted upon appropriately
- Produces project progress reports which are timely and appropriate for the target audience

About you

What we’re looking for:
- Significant previous experience of delivery in large projects / programmes within the Financial Services industry
- Experience in delivering transformation programmes, with a technology change focus
- Accredited at Project Management discipline (practitioner level) (e.g., Certified Project Manager, APMP, Prince2 practitioner, ISEB)
- Managing Successful Programmes accreditation is desirable
- Expert in project management disciplines with experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Experience of defining and delivering organisational change within teams to improve delivery efficiencies and team culture
- Experience of budget management
