Job description
Due to restructuring, we are seeking a hardworking good all-round administrator who has a real interest in working with numbers and creative flair to adapt to several roles within our busy Dartington office environment. The successful candidate will possess the ability to think on their feet, be reliable and have a great deal to offer our small, friendly, office team.
Core Role and Responsibilities
- Basic book-keeping duties; Invoicing, sales, purchase and nominal ledgers, including reconciling bank, credit-card statements.
- Raising invoices and ensuring payments are made within the specified timeframe.
- Job tracking and maintaining data on our cloud based, project management system.
- Reception duties, both telephone and face to face customer liaison.
Essential Skills/Requirements
- Be proficient in using Microsoft 365, Word and Excel.
- Be proactive and self-motivated, acting on own initiative to ensure smooth and effective running of the office.
- Demonstrate an ability to work well, both independently and as part of a team.
- Be well organised with the ability to organise others.
- Good with numbers and able to demonstrate extreme accuracy with a high level of attention to detail.
- Possess a methodical, common-sense approach to problem solving.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a good telephone manner.
Non Essential Skills
- Xero specific accounting software experience.
- Teamwork or other project management software experience.
- Natural interest in social media and willingness to help with the company’s online social awareness.
What we can offer you
- Part-time flexible working hours and days to suit your work-life balance with a minimum required 15 hours up to a maximum (but not essential) of 25 hours per week.
- Salary of £11.50 - £13.00ph depending on experience.
- 29 days paid holiday pro-rated (incl. bank holidays).
