Job description

The general role of the porter/driver is widely varied and consists of duties such as driving, meal delivery, item delivery, security – (monitoring CCTV, patrolling premises, locking and securing same, issuing keys, assisting with gritting) waste management, at times transfer of patients in and around some hospital areas, the transportation of: linen, specimens, stores, equipment and supplies etc. The porters also coordinate all internal and external mail and assist in incidents related to violence and aggression.
Hours: 20 per week / Bank positions also available (Bank hours cannot be guaranteed)
Hours allocated are over 7 days and differing shift patterns.
