We are currently recruiting for a Porter / Driver at our Fermain Valley Hotel, Guernsey.
Fermain Valley Hotel is a stunning 4 Star Hotel which has three stunning and modern style themed restaurants as well as 45 bedrooms.
About the role:
As our Porter / Driver you will be required to assist in many areas of the hotel, from driving guests around the island, to and from the airport to welcoming guests on arrival and showing them to their room, assisting them with their luggage and explaining the hotel facilities.
This role also includes helping our housekeeping department with ensuring areas are stocked with fresh linen and other items such as bottles of water or clearing corridors of rooms service trays.
It is a varied role, where no two days are the same and you will have a passion for ensuring our guests have a memorable stay.
This is a permanent full-time role with live in accommodation available. Working 8 ½ hour shifts between the hours of 7.30am and 5.00pm and 1 evening/night shift per week from 3pm-12am.
Please note for this role applicants must be over the age of 26 years old, due to the licence requirements on driving the minibus.
About you:
- You will be able to give a fantastic welcome to our guests with your warm personality and will pride yourself on being smart and presentable as the face of the Hotel.
- You’ll ideally have previous experience in a similar environment and role and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, assisting where needed and able to carry luggage and linen.
- You will have knowledge of the Island and the roads.
- You’ll be excellent at building a rapport with new and returning guests.
- You'll have very good English verbal and written command.
