Job Title: Porter
Location: North Manchester General Hospital, Manchester, M8 5RB
Shift Pattern: Various shift patterns per week on a flexible rota, must be available to work days, nights and weekends (shifts depending on departmental needs)
Pay: £10.42 per hour, plus enhanced rates for weekends and bank holidays

What you’ll be responsible for:
· To provide a porter and messenger service, including the transfer of patients and visitors between wards and departments including A&E admissions to wards and transfers between A&E, X-ray, and wards.
· To collect and deliver a range of goods including, drugs, bloods, furniture, feed bottles, case notes, specimens, x-rays, and medical gas cylinders.
· To drive Trust vehicles to transfer patients and hospital equipment to various sites.
· To collect and deliver mail within the hospital
The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· Happy to be in a fast-paced physical role
· Possess a friendly and helpful nature.
· Have excellent communication & organisation skills.
· Trained in Manual Handling
