Job description
BASIC PURPOSE OF JOB:
To assist in the supervision of our swimming classes and to ensure our Normal Operating Procedure and Emergency Action Plan along with other policies are strictly followed. You may also asked to work as an assistant for Brighton Swimming School.
MAIN DUTIES:
To ensure all staff are following procedures and to enforce if not
Supervise children entering the pool area
Monitoring the classes
Using rescue skills (should it become necessary)
Maintaining the poolside in a safe and tidy manner
Maintaining firm control of the pool area
Liaising with parents
Ensuring the pool area is secure before departure and the pool bottom and sides are clear of equipment
Attending monthly lifeguard training sessions (paid)
Attend staff training sessions (paid)
PERSONAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Focused and dedicated to the roe
Punctuality and reliability
Ability to work as part of a team
Possessing a caring and sensitive approach to the needs of young children
Willingness to train and participate in our staff development programme
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants must hold the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
Job Type: Zero hours contract
Salary: £5.00-£10.00 per hour
