A Senior Leadership Position has become available at our Manston Short-Term Holding Facility, we are looking for a consummate professional, with a very keen eye for detail in a fast paced, high-profile position. You will Embed professional standards in every aspect of work carried out, lead, motivate and coach your senior management team to ensure company values and behaviours are fully embedded ensuring all strategies, policies, procedures and contractual requirements are delivered to the highest standards.
As the Manston Operations Manager, you will Provide strategic and operational leadership.
- You will also liaise with our Home Office customer and wider key stakeholders, working in partnership to resolve issues and ensure the reputation of the company, and the smooth, profitable running of Manston
- You will Adopt the responsibilities of the role according to lawful and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Home Office expected outcomes, ensuring the very highest standards of care is provided to all of our Residents.
- You will support a culture where diversity is welcomed and embraced, employees and residents are respected, and discrimination of any sort is not tolerated.
In partnership with the client, you will lead on strategic planning for the future delivery and development of Manston site.
This is a full-time position with a salary of range of £70,000 - £80,000 dependant on experience.

What is required of you:
- Substantial experience at a senior managerial level within a custodial setting/environment
- Clear communicator: with excellent verbal and written skills at persuasive messaging
- Skilled at conflict resolution, possessing high levels of empathy, self-regulation and emotional intelligence.
- Highly self-motivated and able to manage a large operation with confident independence.
- Demonstrable skills in managing performance through effective delegation and team building.
- Numerate: with a clear grasp of finance and commercial contract delivery
- Experience of the small boat operation
- Have proven leadership and people management experience
- Comply, at all times, with the Company's legal and regulatory policies and procedures and importantly quality ethos.
- Competent (Basic – Intermediate) skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and central IT systems
- Must be willing, and able, to pass DBS & Vetting up to Counter Terrorism Level (CTC)
