We are currently recruiting for really exciting temporary roles for Longstock House part of the John Lewis Partnership. We have Two Pool Assistant opportunities available. We would love for you to join us from May 2023 onwards with contracts ending early September 2023.
Pool Assistant
What's the role about
Would you like to spend the summer outside? If so, why not apply for our Pool Assistant role. You will provide first rate experience at the pool and in other areas of the hotel, through the focus and delivery of market leading customer service, whilst adhering to health and safety policy.
This role would suit someone who is hardworking and responsible, with a good eye for detail and a passion for delivering a great customer experience. An assertive individual who remains calm under pressure and can manage crowds confidently.
What will you be doing as a Pool Assistant?
- Run the day to day operation of the pool including, pool house and changing rooms.
- Ensuring Pool safety procedures are adhered to at all times
- Resolving guest complaints at the first point of contact
- Checking in and out guests to the pool enclosure and taking payment
- Upholding all policies and standards of food hygiene and Health and Safety.
- Providing basic first aid within the complex as required
- Working in other areas of the Hotel as required during out of peak pool times.
- Cleaning and hygiene of all areas including Showers and toilets
- Checking in and out guests to their allocated Bell tents
- Cleaning Bell tents after Check out ready for arrivals
Pay
The pay range for the roles is £20,545- £23,000 per annum based on working 37.5 hours per week. This is equivalent to £10.50- £11.75 per hour.
Hours of work - Pool Assistant
- The role is Part Time Evenings and Weekends From May increasing to Full Time for the Summer July - Sept
- Earliest start time will be 09:00, with the latest finish time of 18:30
- occasionally when the pool is not in use you may be required for front of house duties
Front of house
What's the role about
Would you like to join our Front of House team, working in our restaurant and bars? You'll need to be flexible to work in different areas and really enjoy giving excellent customer service to all our guests.
A great restaurant or bar experience can make all the difference to enhancing our guests' stay and you’ll be the friendly face of our hotel. You’ll receive on-the-job training and every day will be different.
What will you be doing as a Front of House Partner?
- Providing fantastic guest service in a fast-paced restaurant environment for the service of breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner as well as drinks in the bar area and a range of teas and coffees.
- Managing the service of food and drink, whilst delivering a first-rate guest experience.
- Maintain a flexible approach to work which will include work on evenings and weekends as part of a shift pattern.
- Working as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service at all times.
- Being flexible to work in different areas and adhere to health and safety requirements at all times.
