Thank you for your interest in applying for the post of Deputy Principal - Policy and Research Officer within the Office of the Commissioner for Victims of Crime (OCVOC). This is an exciting opportunity working within a newly established office which will support the work of the Commissioner Designate for Victims of Crime.
OCVOC, although independent from Government, sits within the Department of Justice accounting boundary under the sponsorship of Victims and Witnesses Branch, Victims Support Division. The Department is intending to bring forward legislation to place the OVOC on a statutory footing.
As Policy and Research Officer you will lead on the development and promotion of key policy positions informed by the experience of victims of crime, victim sector representatives, best practice and national and international research.
This post will engage with a wide range of stakeholders including victims of crime and their representatives, criminal justice organisations, voluntary and community organisations, commissioners and government.
