About the Role
The Policy and Strategy Team sits at the centre of the council and provides advice, research and policy development across all local authority policy areas and issues. This includes policy about the environment, education, social care and many more.
We work for our residents to make sure that we deliver the commitments made in our Bexley Plan www.bexley.gov.uk/bexleyplan
It’s a varied and interesting role and will suit someone who is creative and likes to throw themselves into new challenges. You could be researching best practice, developing and writing a strategy, advising colleagues on equalities and diversity or supporting a project. You’ll be advising senior colleagues on options and ideas and be up for coming up with solutions to challenges.
The team is responsible for leading on equalities, diversity and inclusion, we welcome applicants with a passion and commitment to equalities and with transferable experience.

Working pattern
We support condensed, part time and flexible working and would be happy to discuss options with you. We’re family-friendly. This role is hybrid, so you will be able to work from home and the office. You will be required to travel to Bexley for some meetings and collaborative working.
