Police Support Volunteers
Drivers: In this role you will drive police vehicles to and from different locations, you can assist in mail runs, assist in collecting and delivering packages.
Drivers will need to be available during the week, some occasional weekend work available
Vehicle Checkers: will assist us to keep our police vehicle clean, safe by checking water, oil, tires and equipment
Vehicle checkers mainly volunteer at weekends, when the vehicles can be cleaned and checked, during the quietist periods.
To apply you MUST have a full clean driving license, and be able to pass a NYP driving assessment and highway code test
Volunteers come from all walks of life, each bringing their own skills and specialisms. All volunteers are vetted and inducted, given police volunteer uniform, ID card and you will receive ongoing training and support. Applicants must live within North Yorkshire to apply.
