Post: Police Staff Investigator PIP Level 2 Accredited (or recognised equivalent)
Salary: SO 1 / 2 - £31,434 - £36,177 (plus weekend work enhancement)
Hours: 37 Hours per week (covering a shift pattern which includes weekend working)
Contract Type: 12 month Fixed Term Contract
Location: South Bank Police Station, Middlesbrough.
Working as a Police Staff Investigator within Cleveland Police you will support the Force’s crime investigation teams primarily working on Operation Dean which is a significant, non-recent Child Sexual Exploitation investigation.
We are seeking conscientious, dedicated and inquiring individuals to ensure a professional investigative and supportive service is delivered to the community.
Duties will include interviewing witnesses and complainants using the PEACE/PACE interview methods and producing accurate written statements in a form suitable for use as evidence in court proceedings. It would be desirable but is not essential that applicants have experience of the management of unused material and exhibits.
The successful candidate will have excellent problem solving, communication and decision making skills. PIP Level 2 accreditation or the recognised equivalent is essential to the role.
The role requires the selected individual to work a shift pattern between the hours of Monday to Sunday from 0800 to 1800.
Flexibility will be essential due to the nature and demands of this role. You should expect on occasion to work beyond your normal scheduled working hours and also to travel around the force areas and beyond.
