About the role:
An opportunity has arisen to join our Point Of Care Testing (POCT) team covering Barnet Hospital, Chase Farm Hospital and community sites. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with good communication, personal skills and a committed team worker who would support the delivery of POCT services as Medical Laboratory Assistant.
The successful applicant will be working alongside the Point of care Testing team ensuring training, verification of devices, quality assurance and troubleshooting is provided within the Trust and community setting.
To provide technical and administrative support for the Point of Care Testing service in the implementation of the Trust wide POCT Policy. The post holder will work under both direct and indirect supervision on the wards within the Trust and areas of the Community that use Point of Care devices and in the Pathology laboratories.
They will also be proficient in the use of POCT devices, ensuring that Standard Operating Procedures are followed, Quality controlled and Quality assurance is performed.
The successful applicant will work 22.5hr/week over Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
