We are recruiting a PMO Specialist to work across delivery teams to identify risks and dependencies for releases and fill any resourcing gaps to achieve project milestones.

This role will be critical to the success of key strategic Programmes by bringing structure to a complex set of work across BT Group. This role is a delivery focused PMO that supports projects and programmes to achieve the best outcome for all our customers. This role can be based in any of our London, Bristol, or Birmingham offices with an opportunity for hybrid working (3 days in the office and 2 days wherever you like).

What you’ll be doing
  • Develop and maintain project management standards and processes based on BT Group's unified methodology to ensure compliance and effective governance.
  • Support the Programme Director in creating and managing the programme and project structure, ensuring that they are aligned with strategic objectives and that their delivery is prioritised and coordinated across the organisation.
  • Manage financial and KPI information for the programme, working with the commercial team to ensure costs align with expectations.
  • Identify and manage dependencies, risks and issues, developing mitigations and ensuring they are appropriately managed and reported.
  • Provide regular status updates to the executive board and senior management, ensuring stakeholders are informed of progress and any issues that may impact delivery.
  • Develop and mentor as required, helping to improve people's abilities and sharing knowledge and best practices to improve delivery efficiency and effectiveness continuously.
  • Work across the delivery teams to identify risks and dependencies for releases and fill any resourcing gaps to achieve project milestones.
Skills and experience you'll need
  • Understanding of and ability to manage Jira and configurations to effectively execute the day-to-day activities for the Programme.
  • Extensive project experience (Process, Methodologies, Ways of Working)
  • Strong experience with Agile Methodologies and SCRUM Framework
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate/influence effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • An understanding of the business environment.
  • Commercial thinker - you develop and implement ideas that benefit our business, using your understanding of internal commercial insight and the latest external thinking.
  • Data analytics skills- the ability to coordinate and establish the development and use of project data analytics to make decisions.
  • Be agile - ability to lead collaborative ways of working and continuous improvement.
  • Previous experience in change management and process improvement.
  • Team coach - ability to build high-performing cultures within teams, empowering, supporting, coaching, and carrying out development activities.
  • Solution-focused achiever - you identify and implement plans to overcome obstacles and achieve ambitious goals.
