The Role Purpose:
To support the Rail PMO function and the Rail Leadership Team in the process of efficiently planning and coordinated delivery of Strategic Programmes, governance processes, SBU resource management and capturing and disseminating best practice.
What you'll be doing
- Liaise closely with the Project Directors, Operation Managers and Work Winning Teams, to understand and record the current and anticipated resource requirements for each project and manage the process to the agreed timeframes
- Maintain an accurate set of data for Project Resourcing - primarily the requirements of each project and the details of each Projects staff member, including details of current project role and role end date
- Work with the HRBPs & HR Analyst to ensure staff details reflect starters, leavers, internal moves and other changes. Liaise with Project Directors to encourage the timely completion of the required process & paperwork for Starters, Leavers, Internal Moves & other changes to drive the accuracy of data within the Project Resourcing Tool and other systems.
- Prepare, review, and circulate the Dashboards / Reports (regular and ad hoc) that will facilitate decision-making for Leadership Teams.
- Review and update business on current compliance.
- Facilitate project mobilisation, DWWP and deep dive project reviews.
- Support the PMO in strategic road mapping and actioning through continuous reviews.
- Liaise with the Resourcing Co-ordinators to ensure that the latest position with the external recruitment for all Project based roles is reflected in the Project Resourcing Tool data / Reporting
- Engaged by managers to support the design and maintenance of procedures / working practices within the business.
- Collating and sharing best practice across Rail from Discipline leads and lessons learnt process
- Support with Business Governance – Risk Management Compliance, Business Continuity, BB Gated Lifecycle Governance.
Who we're looking for
- Experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of a discipline, or supervisor of support or production teams performing a combination of routine and more complex tasks
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in management information
- Ability to build good working relationships especially with senior stakeholders
- A confident communicator
- Strong analytical skills, with an ability to analyse data and identify emerging trends
- Delivers a 'service orientated' approach, with proven delivery of high quality customer service
- A proactive style of work: identifies and acts upon activities that need to be completed
- Flexible and open-minded - able to deal with change
- Experience gained in HR field /working with confidential information
- Strong IT skills well versed in Excel and other systems.
