The role:
The PMO Analyst/Portfolio Analyst will support the development and establishment of the Portfolio Management Office that sits across the Virgin Red Portfolio. The portfolio includes programmes and projects that deliver on our strategic priorities, organisational development, business process and self-service automation, finance and other internal business tools and services.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with the Head of PMO and Delivery Leadership team to support the creation, development and establishment of the Portfolio Management Office that sits across the portfolio.
- Provide a quality assurance service across the company’s portfolio to ensure that the delivery framework and processes are adhered to.
- Provide a centre of excellence services to the portfolio delivery community.
- Produce reports and dashboards for the Executive team and stakeholders on delivery plans and status.
- Support the development and embedding of the delivery framework providing governance and control throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Provide planning support across the portfolio and updating the portfolio plans.
- Support the creation, development, delivery and embedding of financial management processes.
- Support in the development and delivery of risk, issue and dependency management processes.
- Support in the development of the PPM tool - Monday.com.
- Provide co-ordination and administration to the resource management processes.
- Provide administrative support to delivery framework governance meetings including meeting setup, minutes and action logging and tracking.
For this role we need you to be/have:
- A demonstrable understanding of project/ programme delivery life cycle.
- Demonstrable understanding and ability to articulate the value and impact of PMO to a company’s portfolio.
- Excellent planning skills with the ability to work methodically and accurately whilst keeping to deadlines.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong relationship building skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative and without supervision.
- Problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Proven experience of working in Programme or Portfolio analyst/ support functions.
- Experience of working in fast paced environments.
- Experience of supporting all PMO processes.
- Experience of using project management methodologies and a working knowledge of both waterfall and agile delivery approaches.
- Experience of using SharePoint, Confluence and JIRA.
- Excellent working knowledge of Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint).
- Experience in using Monday.com is desirable.
- P3O qualification is desirable.
- Project Management qualification is desirable.
