Shift: Monday – Friday 8.00 – 16.30
Payrate: £20 per hour enhanced pay for weekends and bank holiday

About the role:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Plumber/Mechanical Technician to join our team. As a Plumber/Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of plumbing and mechanical systems. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent service to our clients.
Key responsibilities include:
· Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and mechanical systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, pumps, boilers, HVAC systems, and other related equipment.
· Conduct inspections and diagnose issues in plumbing and mechanical systems to identify the root cause of problems.
· Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting components to ensure optimal system performance.
· Repair or replace faulty plumbing and mechanical components, such as pipes, valves, fittings, and pumps.
· Install and connect water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures according to specifications and building codes.
· Collaborate with other team members and contractors to coordinate installations and repairs.
· Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals to determine the layout and configuration of plumbing and mechanical systems.
· Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, explaining repairs or installations, and offering preventive maintenance advice.
· Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used, time spent, and service reports.
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· NVQ 2/3 or equivalent.
· Relevant technical certifications or trade school education in plumbing, mechanical systems, or a related field.
· Proven experience as a Plumber/Mechanical Technician, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
· Full Driving licence and reliable transportation.
· Strong knowledge of plumbing and mechanical systems, including pipes, fittings, valves, pumps, boilers, HVAC systems, and related components.
· Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals.
· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Physical stamina and ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy equipment, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
