RECRUITMENTiQ is supporting an exciting opportunity for an experienced Plumber to work within a family-run business, covering Perth and Kinross, Tayside, Fife and Angus.

One of Perth's premium plumbing, heating and electrical business, has been looking after customers for over 40 years. As well as traditional carbon-based fuels, we install and maintain renewable energy systems, including solar PV, air-source and biomass.

With a team of over 30, we work with a range of customers, from homeowners to multi-site commercial organisations. Among other projects, we’re working on a luxury 14-bedroom home in the Highlands and planned maintenance for Scotland's most exclusive leisure providers.

We expect our team to provide the same level of customer service, whether fixing a tap in a customer's home or installing over 60 radiators in a new home.

The Role

We're looking for a skilled, experienced plumber to join our team. You'll be responsible for carrying out installations, inspections, diagnosing problems/faults/leaks, testing and repairs as well as maintenance work on both our customers' bathrooms and kitchens.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • 40 hours/week
  • Occasional stay-aways
  • High-quality fault fixing and service at multiple sites.
  • Plumber role covering Perth and Kinross, Tayside, Fife and Angus
  • Plumbing and heating installations in residential and commercial properties on heating / hot water systems
  • Install a variety of heating and plumbing works, including toilet repairs and tap replacements.
  • Servicing, repairs, maintenance and installation, including pipework and associated fixtures and equipment.
  • Diagnosing faulty equipment.
  • Identify hazards, defects and the need for replacement, adjustment, or repair.
  • Provide technical information to the client.
  • Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the company and/or its customers to your line manager.
  • Complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, keeping logs of inspection reports and remedial work.
  • Ensure compliance with agreed codes, legislation, working practices, procedures and health and safety.
  • Follow risk assessments, and method statements, and assess the scope of work documentation.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 4 years time served experience within a heating and plumbing role.
  • Unvented cylinders (G3) qualification held.
  • A full clean (minor points considered, maximum six) driving licence.
  • Requisite knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the trade.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of good practice in H&S and your duty of care to customers and colleagues.
  • Able to demonstrate the knowledge of applicable codes, standards and regulations associated with the role.
  • Ability to organise your workload effectively and to deliver work to expected deadlines.
  • Flexible approach to duties undertaken and working hours and able to work as part of a team, when necessary, and on your own.
  • Enthusiastic approach to work with a positive can-do attitude.
  • You will be included in our rota for out-of-hours service, ensuring the safety of our customers at all times.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Willingness to acquire and develop new skills and qualifications as required.
