Plumber
Bassetlaw District Council’s Housing Repairs Service provides a repair and maintenance service to tenants across Bassetlaw. It offers a pleasant working environment, delivering services through a capital programme.
We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join the Housing Repairs Service, as a Plumber. Located at our Head Office, Carlton Forest House, Hundred Acre Lane, Worksop. You will be responsible for undertaking plumbing building works including repairs, improvements and replacement items in accordance with job orders.
The hours of work will be 37 hours per week made up by working 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 3.30pm on Friday. You will also be required to participate in the out of normal hours’ rota to cover Plumbing.
Suitable candidates will possess 3 GCSE's Grade C or above (or equivalent) to include Maths or English. A trade qualification NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or above is required, and Unvented domestic hot water qualification is desirable.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate that they have used a wide range of skills in a building and maintenance environment as well as possessing excellent customer care skills in order to provide a high quality service to both internal and external customers.

- To be hard working and conscientious.
