Calling all Plumbers!!!
We are currently looking for a Plumber to join our client’s property service team supporting their contract with the local authorities based in Lambeth, initially you will start as a temp hourly rate of £20ph for 12 weeks, then you go permanent with the client.
Your main duties will consist of: A varied workload, carrying out multiple visits to properties through out Lambeth carrying out responsive and void repairs.
Ideally the candidate will demonstrate primary trade background to ensure the experience will assist in ensuring a quality and efficient delivery, multi trade experience would be an advantage. The candidate will ensure that they are organized to carry out a multiple number of calls per day as directed by the Operations team ensuring we are carrying out an efficient service within the service level agreements
- Day to day management of workload
- Ensure that all works are carried out safely and to an excellent quality standard
- Updating PDA devices with work schedules and other key information as required
- To maintain our corporate image and service standards
- Be able to communicate with residents Face to Face
- Where necessary, dealing with tenants’ issues and complaints in an effective manner
- Ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations, standards, and legal responsibilities relating to repair work and contractor compliance.
- Ensure a quality `right first-time fix’ service is maintained.
- Manage Impress stock within van to minimize non-working time.
- Ensuring the effective and proactive delivery of service
- Ensuring the maintenance and delivery of any documentation required to agreed standard and timescale.
- To work as an integral team member as well as a mentor and coach to apprentices
- Making decisions using specialist experience
- Supports and manages delivery of health and safety policy and standards.
- Supports & assists the identification of the reduction of costs.
- May take part in out of hours on call system as required by the service.
Person Specification
The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:
Essential
- Site Operative CSCS card
- Asbestos Awareness Training
- Trade City & Guilds/ NQV qualification
- Full UK driving Licence
Desirable
- SMSTS Health and Safety
- First Aid Trained
- Trade City & Guilds/ NQV qualification
- CRB check preferred
- Multi Trade Discipline
- Gas Safe
Knowledge and experience
- Experience within the responsive maintenance environment
