Our Client
My client is a privately owned regional main contractor and developer who work across a wide range of private HMO projects for professionals across Greater Manchester region. They undertake all aspects of construction work from refurbishment, design & build, plumbing and gas, electric and all other trades on site. Their aim is the delivery of specialist construction services to valued clients; whilst striving for total client satisfaction in everything that they do. The company are currently looking to grow they team and employ a Gas Safe Plumbing Engineer to work on sites across Greater Manchester.
This is a permanent position and a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable company going through a period of significant growth, with their ever-expanding portfolio of high-profile development projects.
Main Duties of the Role
- Installation and replacement of boilers within our clients’ domestic properties
- To complete works on HMO and renovation projects in the Greater Manchester region
- Complete material call offs and order with our procurement team when requested.
- Communicate effectively with our office staff to maintain an accurate record of all work carried out.
- Upgrades of existing heating systems
- To carry out pipe runs – input of layout design and installation.
- Post installation inspections and remedial works in all client properties
- Ensure jobs are completed to specification and on time.
- When necessary, work alongside other trades team colleagues to ensure a successful well-organized installation as a whole, to meet time deadlines given.
Essential skills and certifications
- Minimum of 3 years plus experience working as a Gas Safe Engineer and preferably experienced in HMO project developments.
- Time served (Minimum 3 years)
- CCN1, CKR1, HTR1 along with CENWAT or CEN1 and CPA1
- Completing documentation to sign off
- NVQ Level 2 in plumbing or equivalent
- Unvented Hot Water
- Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations – Desirable
- Competent with 1 st fix and 2 nd fix plumbing works
- Competent in IT skills – to be able to document information to managers and to office help desk
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance
- Positive attitude and the ability to integrate and be an active part in the team.
- A full UK driving licence - Must have your own vehicle and tools - these are not supplied
The Rewards
Our client is willing to offer a competitive basic salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum. Other benefits include:
