Raising Explorers is an established company for over 10 years, and we believe in the welfare of our staff and promote this in various ways. As a Play Worker, you will be required to assist in the planning, preparation and running of activities, including team games, sports and arts and crafts activities to provide a varied safe and stimulating play environment both indoors and outdoors.

Job summary: Assist with day to day activities of the club
Provide quality play care within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures
Line manager: Club manager/deputy
Responsible for: Not applicable
Working relationships: Children attending the club and their parents/carers, Management and staff, including students and volunteers, Schools and registering authorities.
Main duties include:
- Assist with planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
- Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment.
- Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.
- Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.
- Helping with club administration, where necessary.
- Encouraging parental involvement in the club.
- Facilitating good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, and schools.
- Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
- Keeping the work environment healthy, safe and secure.
- Working within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures.
The Role:
· To provide a stimulating, safe environment for young children, supporting their developing
· Plan, prepare and implement play programs that develop learning and social skills in line with Ofsted requirements, always ensuring quality childcare
· Assist in the planning, preparation and running of activities, including team games, sports and arts and crafts activities to provide a varied safe and stimulating play environment both indoors and outdoors
· To consult with the children and encourage their involvement in the planning of day-to-day activities
· To assist in preparing nutritional snacks for the children; ensuring that snack times are pleasant, sociable, and orderly.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 5 per week
Salary: £8.00-£11.00 per hour
