Job Purpose
To assist with after school care provision for children between the ages of 4 and 11.
To assist with the co-ordination of all activities within a safe and stimulating environment, out of school hours, in accordance with the clubs policies and procedures and Ofsted regulations.
Responsibilities / Duties
- Set out and pack away the equipment, furniture and toys required for the club
- Collect from school
- Provide safe play opportunities for children
- Prepare and serve tea as per rota
- Assist with routine activities such as tea etc
- Administer first aid as appropriate
- Keep the storage areas tidy, ensuring toys and equipment are not damaged
- Ensure all work is undertaken with Hatch Warren Community Association policies, in
particular those relating to safeguarding and health and safety
- Liaise with parents, carers, staff from St Marks and Hatch Warren Schools, Hatch Warren Community Association personnel and any other relevant parties as required
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures
- Carry out risk assessments as directed by the Play leader
- Assist in the planning and preparation of a programme of activities
- Carry out observations and plan next steps following children’s interests
- To work as a member of the staff team
- Attend meetings as required
- To undertake any training as deemed necessary
- To report all safeguarding concerns to the Manager
- To carry out all responsibilities and duties within the clubs Equal Opportunities policy
- To undertake any other duties as may become necessary to ensure the successful running of the After School Club
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 4-20 per week
Salary: £9.18-£9.60 per hour
