Job description

Are you someone who likes working with children and young people in a hospital setting? Are you motivated and able to work independently to provide activities and entertainment to children and young people between the ages of 0-16yrs who have been admitted to the ward for surgical procedures? If this sounds like you, come and join the fun team on Ward 17!

Welcome families and their children to the Ward.

Maintain and clean toys and equipment, ordering new ones when needed.

Normalizing play/ recreation and leisure needs of children and young people.

Ensure play and recreation is inclusive and diverse.

Have knowledge of child development when deciding on play activities.

Provide activities for children with learning disability or physical disabilities.

Promote health and well being.

Be involved with Trustwide activities relating to play.
