Available Job Today Logoplaste UK is currently seeking to recruit a Plant Manager in Leeds.

Reporting to the UK Operations Director, the Plant Manager will be responsible for the leadership, development and motivation of a team of circa 80 people through a Production Manager, Supply Manager, Engineering Manager, Administration, Quality and H&S. They will work closely with senior colleagues within the wider group to ensure the site meets both current and future needs, and that site objectives are met.


Key tasks & Activities…

  • Establishes overall plant performance, development, objectives, training
  • Maintains customer relationship
  • Ensures compliance with production volumes, based on Production Plans provided by Clients
  • Sets and monitors site's KPIs and acts in case of deviations
  • Monitors site's performance on quality and service
  • Ensures the compliance with the requirements of the Quality, Food Defense, Environment, Health and Safety at Work Management Systems implemented, aiming at product conformity, product safety for the final consumer, correct waste management and protection of Employees and assets
  • Develops and controls profits, plans, budgets as well as build and present cases to secure CAPEX
  • Ensures adequate preventive and corrective maintenance of all equipment and facilities
  • Actively focuses on the development of their team, encouraging high performance by completing regular 1:1s, Achieve forms and assessing training needs
  • Participates in frequent meetings with the customer and all site colleagues
  • Liaises with the customer on day-to-day requirements
  • Ensures that last minute requests/plans are implemented
  • Provides quotations and information when required
  • Oversee all trial requests and costings, cost reduction projects
  • Investigates the causes of customers' complaints, defining and implementing the necessary containment measures, corrections and / or corrective actions

Who we are looking for…

Background and Experience

  • 5-7 years experience required
  • Experience in industry and production process. Broad range of experience and responsibility in all aspects of production, engineering, quality and people skills
  • Qualifications? Lean 6 Sigma?
  • SAP Experienced
