Are you currently operating as a strong operationally focussed site number 2 but are looking for your next step to the lead site role? or maybe you are an established general manager looking for a new challenge.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join St. Johns Packaging (UK) Ltd as General Manager. We are planning for the future so now is a great time to join as you become a central figure in influencing the future growth of the Company in the UK and further afield. Reporting directly to the President & CEO based in the Canadian Headquarters, you will provide inspirational and effective leadership to the site management team as we continue on our journey to become a leading provider of sustainable packaging solutions to the global food industry and the preferred supplier to the UK’s biggest baking companies.
You will lead a site that currently employs 75 people, but that is looking to grow and increase its capacity. You will develop and own the strategic plan to grow the sites profitable position and further expand the business, with a focus on operations and site KPI’s (Safety, Quality, Waste, Productivity, DIFOT, etc.), to take it to the next level of profitability, whilst delivering operational excellence and exceptional customer understanding and service.
You will be degree qualified (or similar level qualification) and have at least 2 years’ experience as a General Manager, Plant Manager, or have exceptional leadership skills and exposure to general management and be looking for the next step. Either way, supported by at least 5 years senior operational leadership experience in a manufacturing environment you will be customer focussed with good business acumen. Experience in packaging would be an asset, but not essential.
