Chemours is seeking a Manufacturing Technology Manager to join our growing Manufacturing Technology team! This position will report directly to the Manufacturing Technology Director and is located at our Washington Works manufacturing facility in Parkersburg, WV.
The Manufacturing Technology Manager supervises the engineering and manufacturing technical staff with about 20 - 25 direct reports at a unit or plant level, to deliver the technology and process capability needed to operate, maintain and improve the manufacturing operations.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Works with operations leadership to define goals (safety, asset productivity and quality) and budget forecasts.
Works with site/unit leaders to develop and apply resources to meet objectives.
Steward of the manufacturing technology competency.
Responsible for implementing corporate best practices as a member of manufacturing technology leadership for the development of technical resources and the building of the capabilities needed to support the safe and efficient operation of our plants.
Leads effective leveraging of manufacturing technology resources to optimize utilization and development.
Coordinates and leverages functional capabilities to meet site manufacturing, PSM and workplace safety needs.
Provides leadership to the capital processes, including scope and basic data development, project oversight and equipment commissioning.
Provides organizational leadership, including mentoring of junior team members.
Network with peers and leverage knowledge from other functions and corporate groups.
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
BS degree or higher in a technical discipline.
5+ years of supervisory experience.
Experience with highly toxic materials and chemical manufacturing operations
Self-managing, proactive
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Demonstrated leadership capability – personnel development, leading teams, resolving conflict, sound judgment
Demonstrated ability to teach, coach, mentor develop others, and work in a team-based environment.
