Bournville, the home of Cadbury in the UK, are now recruiting Production Operators.
Would you like to be part of the team producing the nations favourite chocolate including iconic brands such as Dairy Milk, Crème Eggs, Buttons, Roses, Heroes and Wispa
As a key member of Manufacturing , you will use Lean Six Sigma autonomous and progressive maintenance standards to maintain equipment and support new innovations across the site.
Key Accountabilities
Undertake operational tasks as required, running equipment safely and in accordance with instructions and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance to quality standards, policies and procedures, codes and legislation
- Monitoring and maintaining equipment and work practices, ensuring standard running conditions are optimised and early detection of faults.
- Supporting loss eradication activities
- Undertake equipment inspection, maintenance, and cleaning.
- Developing skills in line with IL6S standards, developing subject matter expertise on processes and assets.
- Working to business KPI’s and KAI’s
- Responsible use of resources to meet budgetary controls
- Maintaining electronic records as required.
- Adhere to all organisation policies and procedures
This will be on a permanent full- time contract. You will work a scheduled shift pattern on a rotating basis, working 12-hour shifts covering days and nights to support the site running 24 hours 7 days a week, average working hours will be 42 hours per week.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required
Essential
- Manufacturing experience – operating within a manufacturing line
- A continuous Improvement mindset
- High work standards
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate at all levels.
- Flexible approach
Preferred
- Technically astute, with experience in basic maintenance and repair
- IL6S / LEAN 6 sigma qualified or working knowledge of.
- Continuous improvement, loss reduction back ground.
