Job Title: Planning Team Leader
Location: Burton Factory
JOB PURPOSE
- On-time in-full execution and delivery of the SU supply plan, working with procurement, logistics and customer teams.
- Working closely with the category planning team and supply chain partners to deliver a plan that achieves agreed customer service levels, inventory and obsoletes targets whilst supporting Nutrition network KPIs of minimising conversion cost and waste.
- Proactive and early identification of supply risks leads resolution with supply chain partners and ensures clear communication with the central planning team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the OTIF execution and delivery of the short and medium term FG supply plan at their site. Working with supply chain colleagues to achieve KPIs and targets.
- Generate and maintain an optimised short term line schedule that takes into account preferred sequences, known downtime and any constraints.
- Clearly communicate the line schedule to key contacts - Site Operations Team, Finished Goods Planner, R&PM Inbound Flow Planner, ensuring priorities are visible and that relevant feedback is incorporated.
- Proactively identify potential supply issues for finished goods and materials, work closely with the Production and Category Planning team to propose ways to resolve at optimal cost. Lead comms with the production team, ensuring impact and resolution are clear.
- Manage material inventories and call-offs of R&PMs with local suppliers within set inventory targets. Work closely with Hub to complete Inbound Flow Planner elements of R&PM role. Work with Procurement Operations to resolve any actual or potential supply issues.
- Manage phase in / phase out of R&P materials to ensure limited business waste and on time availability of new materials.
- Manage inbound logistics requirements. Execute outbound logistics plan, updating to reflect any short-term changes to production output. Manage stocks and requirements from 3rd party warehouses.
- Lead and support project delivery e.g. BD product innovation, R&D product change or site based manufacturing improvement initiative.
- Proactive identification of continuous improvement opportunities for site based and extended supply chain planning set-up.
- Maintaining master data set-up and integrity for relevant supply chain systems and fields. E.g. SAP APO & S1P
- Champion new ways of working. Including: Identifying and implementing best practise, aligning ways of working.
- With P&I and Project teams, develop ideas on portfolio optimization; harmonization opportunities or complexity cuts.

ESSENTIAL
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
PREFERRED
- Supply chain qualification (APICS)
- Customer Service qualification (ICS)
Experience Required:

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.
How is Unilever tackling this?
Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
