Job Description: About the role… An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Resource Planning Manager to join our Network Planning Team at our Trentham site, this role will be responsible for end to end resource planning management. Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday What you'll be doing… ·Overall responsibility for defining, implementing, maintaining, and evolving the workforce management capabilities to optimise our allocation of resources, improve customer satisfaction and drive internal efficiencies ·Monitor demand and make recruitment recommendations and identify opportunities and risks that align to the demand ·To be a central player in the onboarding of staff ensuring the plan is shared inclusively to all parties involved. ·To constantly monitor and propose effective shift patterns to match business requirements, optimising performance. ·To build relationships with the agencies, monitor performance again plan and the reconciliation of all agency labour against invoices ·Actively seek out issues in operational demands and present solutions to work to ·Leading deployment and analysis on daily actual vs requirement variances for continuous quality and productivity improvement ·Ensure resource plans are produced and monitored for budgeting purposes ·To deliver effective & accurate reports, detailing key performance indicators and commentary relating to workforce and shift performance ·Design/ building and maintenance of reports using Excel/ Access/ Power BI and databases is a key part to this role ·Prepare PowerPoint presentations for differing meetings throughout a calendar month sharing historic plan versus actual views along with the future views About you… ·Strong communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written with excellent presentation skills ·Excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyse complex data and provide meaningful information ·Previous experience leading a planning function with expert knowledge of supply chain processes, specifically material and resource planning ·Energy, enthusiasm, and commitment are essential characteristics in this fast-moving environment ·Strong degree of PC literacy, with an emphasis on accuracy ·Extensive knowledge of spreadsheets / MS Excel is essential, along with competency in dealing with Macros, SQL and databases ·Commercially and financially astute with experience of managing budgets ·Proven leadership and management skills within a challenging environment desirable ·Good knowledge of structured problem-solving tools and methodologies ·Excellent motivator, self-starting, with an enthusiastic approach ·Driven to succeed both self and the business About Us: Wincanton is a leading supply chain partner for British business, providing supply chain solutions up and down the country.
