This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate to experience working in a busy Development Management teams. Your role will play a significant role in developing an environment where Southampton is chosen over other cities as a place to work and reside.
Your role will combine working in a busy Planning Team handling a range of work including managing a caseload of minor planning applications.
You will be expected to have a positive, solution-finding approach to work with a keen focus on meeting targets and deadlines. You will be responsible for your own workload and your work will involve a range of adminsitrative and technical tasks.
The successful applicant will deal with a wide range of planning issues in all areas of the city. You will have the necessary skills and experience to manage a range of challenging tasks, and will be competent in dealing with planning issues and members of the public.
Applicants must have excellent report writing, communication and IT skills. This is an interesting and challenging role with a good level of scope and variety for the right individual.
