Newman University has an opportunity for a Planning and Data Analyst to join our Planning and Systems Development Team. We are seeking someone who is passionate about data and wants to utilise this enthusiasm to support the University’s planning and monitoring of performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding individual with a strong analytical capability to play a major part in the development of strategically important management information, data visualisations and produce and present insightful reports to our senior leadership team. You will play a key role in interrogating and analysing challenging business intelligence problems and producing data-driven, action–oriented solutions. The post holder will also support the production of our statutory student data returns.

The successful applicant will have a good honours degree or strong evidence of high level analytical, communication and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and the ability to work well as part of a small and friendly team in addition to using your own initiative are essential, especially as you will be leading on the continuing development of our suite of dashboards (currently using the visual analytics platform Tableau). You will be an effective negotiator and committed to working positively with stakeholders and colleagues from across the university.
