About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Project Controls Lead, responsible at tender stage for the range of activities involved in the project planning life cycle, which include:
- Identifying planning scope, major constraints, and contract requirements including major quantities and factors affecting the programme
- Building the programme from first principles, ensuring that programme content is functionally compliant with the planning procedures and guidance.
- Working with all disciplines to ensure the full project scope is captured within the programme
- Establishing and agreeing construction outputs and agree working hours where appropriate
- Establishing and agreeing with Operations key methods of construction, sequencing, installation, and commissioning
- Producing and documenting the planning deliverables including programmes, basis of schedule, presentations, and reports.
- Developing overall programmes, issuing to all parties for review and implementing recommendations, innovation, and best practice as applicable
- Reconciling company and sub-contract plant/labour and major materials elements in conjunction where appropriate
- Cost and resource loading, plus resource levelling techniques as required
- Ensuring all reporting requirements are accurately captured, implemented & managed including EVM reporting throughout the lifecycle of the project
- Experienced with Primavera P6
- Candidates should be a Sole UK National with SC (Security Clearance) and/ or an ability to obtain SC.
- Experience, across all stages of the project life cycle
- Substantial experience of planning services in medium to large sized projects within the construction industry 1m – 20m
- Experience in managing schedules on NEC Projects
- Good understanding of the various forms of tender documents, contract documents and specifications
- Good understanding of the construction market, methods of construction, plant, equipment, and labour requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering / construction related discipline
- Strong communication skills, including writing reports & presenting.
