We have an exciting opportunity for a Planner to join the Rolls-Royce Commodities team in the Services Delivery Business Unit, as we look to deliver sparable material into Naval Stores to support the Royal Navy Submarine Flotilla.
The Planner will join the Commodities team and will play a vital part in liaising with the customer and ensuring demand is met in line with a number of complex lifecycle projects. The Planner will be managing supplier data and delivery utilising their experience of ERP/ SAP planning and demand forecasting tools.

What you’ll be doing:
- Working with bespoke planning and forecasting systems in managing component supply to meeting business and contract commitments
- Dealing with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Generating datasets to enable the review of component demands in meeting the programme contract requirements
- Reviewing and assessing customer inventory data with a view to cascade demand and ensure delivery plans meet service and replenishment timeframes
- Reviewing customer demands/supply metrics and taking appropriate action to ensure the customer requirements are justified and being met
- Supporting the Programme Manager and Technical Specialists as appropriate, with the commitment acceptance of component level requirement profiles with new and repair part supply chains
What we’re looking for:
- Planning and material forecasting and supply experience, showing an understanding of the project lifecycle, risk management, cost management.
- Experience of either SAP, Oracle ,P6, VBA, Python coding and/or scheduling tools in relation to project activities is desirable.
- You will have a good understanding of operations and procurement activities - prior submarines knowledge is not essential
- Good stakeholder management and communications skills
