2 x Secondment or Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2024.
In this interesting and varied role you will be the welcoming face of TVP presenting a professional image, whilst providing front desk cover and administrative support for the reception facility at our Sulhamstead Police Training centre.
This roles is essential to ensure Thames Valley Police are able to recruit additional Police Officers as part of the National Police Uplift Programme. Your duties will cover a wide range of tasks such as checking and processing accommodation requests, recording booking requests using a bespoke Hotel booking system, offering accurate guidance to visitors, guests and students by signposting or chaperoning, work with the catering contractor to ensure up to date and accurate figures are provided for meal times, creating purchase orders for external hotel bookings, supporting the training functionality on site raising requests for contractors for repairs and maintenance of classroom equipment, and supporting your Line Manager with the day to tasks that arise at a busy training centre.
This post will require an approachable, flexible, fair and professional attitude, with the ability to be creative and passionate about delivering a quality service to Staff, Officers, internal and external stakeholders. Attention to detail is crucial as well as the ability to problem solve, use your initiative, be able to juggle a number of different tasks and make appropriate decisions.
You will have recent experience of working in an administrative and customer facing role. Working under pressure and to deadlines, along with proven computer skills and the ability to interrogate and accurately input data from a variety of sources. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
