Epson Telford Limited was established in 1987, we are on a 50-acre site and operate a 24/7 manufacturing site.
We are the only European manufacturing and distribution site for ink cartridges and textile inks.
These products are shipped to an Epson warehouse in Germany where they are then distributed throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Quality and innovation is at the heart of everything we do, from our Cleanroom environment to our in-house machinery, design, and technology improvements from which we use our own Epson 6-axis robots.
Hours of work:
Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm
Position Summary:
Responsible for all day to day production planning and progress reporting.
The main duties and responsibilities for this role:
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of shipping plan
- Coordinate daily with Packing and warehouse departments to ensure OTIF despatch of goods.
- Identify possible delays and coordinate with planner to ensure orders are met
- Escalate potential delays, shipping constraints, underperformance to Production Control Supervisor in order to agree corrective action.
- Contacting customers with delivery dates and order confirmations
- Communicate shipping delays with customers via email
- Issue daily/weekly/monthly reports
- Logging and dispatching, potential customer samples
- Processing Customer POs
- Allocating internal stock
- Issues sales invoices
Compiles weekly shipping plans and issuing to our head office in Japan. - Liaison with Packing and Transport Department through meetings and issue of build plans.
- Support the Production Control Senior Supervisor in ad-hoc tasks
Qualifications – essential:
- Strong Excel skills
- CIPS Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply (either studying or held) would be desirable
Experience required – essential:
- Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment
