Job description
A unique opportunity has become available for an Agricultural Planner to join a large food manufacturing business based in Malton, North Yorkshire on a 12 months fixed term contract covering maternity leave. This position offers a salary of £26,000 – £33,000 per annum as well as benefits such as 33 days annual leave and 3 x life insurance.
This position will be part of a tight-knit and dynamic team with a passion for agriculture and animal welfare. You will be joining an award-winning, multi-site food manufacturing business who are a key distributor across large retail businesses in UK and ROI.
Roles and Responsibilities as an Agricultural Planner:
- Coordinate with suppliers, hauliers and the site ensuring a consistent supply of livestock.
- Maintaining databases and spreadsheets to create a forecast and produce reports.
- Creating weekly plans for supply and managing movement licenses.
- Producing invoices and managing payments with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with legal standards at all times.
We would love to see CVs from individuals who have:
- Experience working in one of the following industries; farming, agriculture, abattoir, or food manufacturing.
- Previously worked as an Agricultural Planner, Livestock Planning Coordinator, Livestock Planner, Planning Coordinator or similar role as this would be desirable but is not essential for this position.
- Strong Excel and computer skills
- A passion for animal welfare.

- 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays = 33 days total
