We manufacture our board products in our Colchester, UK based factory to meet the highest level of inspection standards for long life cycle, reliable operation.
Our products are used by many of the world’s leading integrators within the Defence, Security, Aerospace, Telecommunications, Transportation, Medical and Industrial markets and are designed to be operated in a range of temperatures and environments from benign to extreme rugged.

The Role
The Operations Planner works closely with the internal Sales team to translate orders and demand into actionable Operations plans in the ERP system and makes recommendations on forecast adjustments. Responsible for the scheduling of work orders within Operations, ensuring material is available to build product to meet contract milestones securing delivery and the success of Concurrent Technologies and our customers. Lead the Internal Orders Process. Lead the RMA Processing from Operations standpoint
What will I be delivering?
- Production schedules based on Internal Order requirements in consort with the internal sales team and demand defined by project schedules.
- Adjust and re-plan production schedules based on capacity and planning scenarios to strive for customer need dates.
- Ensure material is available by vendor scheduling, in time to meet project schedules and customer need / required dates
- Identify critical part shortages collaborating with Procurement and seek resolution and ensure impact to schedules is minimised
- Planning scenarios at multiple levels and over varying time horizons through close collaboration with the internal sales team
- Establish historical performance trends and provide / review master data (lead times, yield etc) to MRP to facilitate improved decision making and forecast adjustments based on statistical data
- Establish forecast to improve inventory turns and reducing overall inventory levels
- Input and monitoring of Operational Excellence KPIs i.e. On Time Delivery
- Lead the Internal Orders Process. Monitor the status of orders in the system and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders. Proactively address any potential delays or issues in the order fulfilment process.
- Receive and review incoming orders from Internal Customers, such as Engineering teams. Ensure that all necessary information is complete and accurate before proceeding with order entry.
- Lead the RMA Processing from Operations standpoint: Receive and review customer return requests and determine eligibility based on company policies and warranty guidelines.
- Customer Communication: Act as the main point of contact for customers seeking to initiate the return process. Provide clear instructions on RMA procedures, answer inquiries, and address concerns promptly and courteously.

What do I need to bring with me?
Demonstrated knowledge and experience
- Thorough understanding of Bills of Material
- Extensive knowledge of MRP and working with various ERP systems
- Proven operations planning / supply chain management experience in a similar high-tech industry
- Ability to perform in teamwork situations and handle multiple competing priorities
- Ability to work independently and experience in managing multiple deadlines
Technical skills and qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering and/or directly related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
