Driver (Specialist Vehicle) Role Profile
Do you have previous experience of manual work, preferably in street cleansing, and knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation?
Duties will include keeping the city and local environment clean and tidy through the cleansing of public land, highways and main roads. This will include driving and operating specialist vehicles up to permissible weight of 7.5t (relevant training will be given). Cleansing and emptying of litterbins, fly tip collections, general street cleansing and the safe removal of hazardous substances.
Weekend hours, you will normally be required to work 34.25 hours per week. Friday – 11.5 hours, Saturday – 11.5 hours and Sunday 11.25 hours. This will be worked subject to the needs of your department.
Willingness to undertake occasional out of hours night-time duties as and when required.
If your working week involves shift, night, rota, weekend or seasonal arrangements a detailed breakdown of your working hours will be provided separately by your line manager.
This role provides you with access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
