About the role
The Picture Editor is a key player of the Picture Desk Team who are responsible for the co-ordination, creation and delivery of a high volume of images for pan regional Video on demand and catch up (AVOD, SVOD and PVOD) services, publicity, and marketing.
The Picture Editor, For Crime+Investigation reports into the Product Senior Marketing Manager. The Picture Editor is responsible for planning, researching, and creating premium images and bespoke artwork promoting Crime+Investigation programming across Crime+Inestigation PLAY (Apple and Amazon), and our direct to consumer streaming service. Along with the design and creation of supporting promotion assets for Product marketing.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the in-house Graphic Design team to create premium, 'clickable' and optimized for VOD key art.
Plan, source, upload and publish the most eye-catching and compelling Images for Crime+Investigation and Crime+Investigation Play at series and episodic level to be used across all platforms.
Work with the VOD Operations team to deliver high quality imagery accurately and on time.
Understand and interpret the business/campaign objectives into aesthetic appealing imagery that resonates and connects with audiences.
Utilise data and performance metrics to optimise impact of the VOD offering.
Be the lead picture editor on the Crime+Investigation brand.
Create key art and title treatment using photoshop.
Library management, keeping it organised, up-to-date and adhere to the correct naming conventions.
To, where required, take screen grabs from current, historic or archive content for use.
- Generate regular reviews and competitor analysis.
Person Specification
Desirable Skills and Experience
Effective planning and organising skills. Accomplished in concentrating on several areas of work at one time, prioritising, delivering consistently to deadlines and reacting positively to changes and conflicting priorities.
Excellent Photoshop skills for design, cropping and resizing.
Strong attention to detail with superior editorial judgement, accuracy, and sensitivity.
Good communication, team-working and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of Illustrations, Iconography, 3D, Motion Design, Product Design, or any form of storytelling is a bonus.
Experience within a media or TV environment and in particular servicing VOD.
Experience in picture editing.
Three or more years of professional experience in graphic design, creative visualization, and conceptualization.
Capable of thorough Picture Researching.
A sound understanding of fundamental design disciplines (colours, typography, composition, layouts, etc.).
A portfolio of work that showcases your skill set in graphic design, ability to adapt to different styles, and an affinity for taking complex concepts and making them clear and relatable.
